“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.” Psalm 8:3-5 (NIV)
Someone finally noticed!
Sarah wondered what it was that made the difference.
You see, Sarah was a member of the church’s housekeeping staff.
Yet when she walked down the halls, the secretarial staff would seemingly avoid contact. Sarah felt like a worthless, second-class citizen.
When Linda, a fellow staff member noticed, she brought it up in a staff prayer meeting.
She made it a point to show the beautiful painting Sarah had just completed. As a result, the secretarial staff hugged Sarah and apologized. Through Linda’s words, Sarah began to see herself as valuable to God.
Friend, your value comes directly from the heart of God.
Remember, Christ died for the tax collector, the prostitute, as well as the influential Centurion. |
